Privacy Policy for Glow Last updated: May 2026

WHAT WE COLLECT Glow collects the following information:

• Your name and age (entered during onboarding)
• Your mood check-ins and energy levels
• Journal entries and voice recordings
• Sleep logs and body check data
• Camera data (used only for facial training exercises — nothing is recorded or stored)

WHAT WE DON’T COLLECT

• We never sell your data
• We never share your data with advertisers
• Vent sessions are never saved anywhere
• We never store camera footage or images
• We do not collect your location

HOW WE USE YOUR DATA

• To personalize your Glow experience
• To generate AI insights from your mood and journal history
• To send you optional daily reminders

THIRD-PARTY AI SERVICES (CLAUDE)

Glow uses Claude, an AI assistant provided by Anthropic, PBC, to power several features:

• Glow Chat — AI conversation
• Vibe Check — AI feedback on situations
• Social Coach — AI role-play of difficult conversations
• Wins — AI-generated responses to your entries
• Sleep — AI pattern recognition

WHAT IS SENT TO ANTHROPIC

When you use these features, the following data is transmitted to Anthropic’s servers (api.anthropic.com):

• The message text you type
• Your selected mood (if applicable)
• A system prompt that explains Glow’s purpose

WHAT IS NEVER SENT TO ANTHROPIC

• Your name, email, or username
• Your location
• Your phone number or device ID
• Your usage data from other Glow features
• Any other personal identifiers

HOW ANTHROPIC USES THE DATA

Anthropic processes your message to generate a response. Per Anthropic’s commercial API terms, your messages are NOT used to train their AI models. Anthropic provides the same or equivalent privacy protection as outlined in this policy. Anthropic’s privacy policy is available at: https://www.anthropic.com/legal/privacy

YOUR CONTROL

When you first use any AI-powered feature, Glow will ask for your explicit consent and explain what data is shared. You can decline, in which case the AI feature will not function but the rest of Glow remains fully usable.

DATA RETENTION

Conversations with Claude are stored locally on your device only. They are not synced to any Glow server. You can delete your conversation history at any time from within the app.

DATA STORAGE Your personal data is stored locally on your device using iOS secure storage. Anonymous usage data (daily mood pulse) is stored securely on Supabase servers.

YOUR RIGHTS You can delete all your data at any time from the Me tab in the app. Uninstalling the app removes all locally stored data.
